My love of writing (and singing) extends to the ‘genre’ of songwriting. I recently entered the 2009 SCALA Festival of Original Music Song Competition (FOOM) and was awarded a commendation for my lyrics ‘Girl on the Street’ A song about a young girl who becomes a prostitute to make some quick money but stays on the game too long.
“This set of lyrics has got real guts. It’s earthy. It’s solid.” Bill ‘Swampy’ Marsh.
“A catchy, original intro – I love ‘eyes are toasted honey.’ The lyrics are powerful, realistic and memorable. This is a hard hitting song” Jude Aquilina.
Click the link to listen to another song of mine, ‘Life’s a State of Mind’ I like the lyrics. The music needs work! Wanna help?

Congratulatoins. I didn't know you were a lyricist, too. Well done.
Thanks Anne!!
